NeoForge (1.21.1, 1.20.1) – NeoForged, Modding API
NeoForge (1.21.1, 1.20.1) is a free, open-source, community-oriented modding API for Minecraft. It makes it very easy to install a number of different Minecraft mods.
Due to internal disagreements, the members of the Forge Team decided to split off, except for the founder, and create a new group to develop a new modloader called NeoForge. NeoForge is a fork of Minecraft Forge since Minecraft 1.20.1, but starting from Minecraft version 1.20.2, it became entirely independent. NeoForge is the official name that the team now uses to support Minecraft players across the latest versions. Noticing advantages over Minecraft Forge, renowned mod developers have begun incorporating NeoForge into their mods.
Features:
- An open-source platform for Modders to collaborate to make a great mod.
- Allowing players to use mods in their game.
- One of NeoForge’s main features is the event system. Events are fired for various things that happen in the game. For example, there are events for when the player right clicks, when a player or another entity jumps, when blocks are rendered, when the game is loaded, etc. A modder can subscribe event handlers to each of these events, and then perform their desired behavior inside these event handlers.
- And much more.
